This reports describes progress towards the aspirational goal outlined in Phase 3 of the National Johne’s Management Plan (NJMP) for the GB dairy industry alongside a review of trends in Johne’s Disease Tracker parameters, 3-year rolling benchmarks.
The national JCI has a consistent downwards trend from 2020 (8.55) to 2025 (6.12 for only milk-recorded herds and 6.50 with non-milk-recorded herds included). The % of herds with an ATV ≤5.5 has a consistent improving trend from 2020 (18.9%) to 2025 (50.4% for only milk-recorded herds and 46% with non-milk-recorded herds included).
